What is the ‘Law of Attraction’ and how does it work?

As it is said that trouble is always in the mind. Likewise, the Law of Attraction in the New Philosophy, materializes our thoughts into reality. In plain terms: if we focus on positive things, we will attract positivity and if we focus on negative things, we will attract negativity. It is based on the principle that everything that we can imagine is real and achievable. Our thoughts act like magnets and attract energies.

Our thoughts decide what we choose to become because thoughts always become our reality. Our life is just like a blank canvas and we have to paint it with what we intend to do. The Universe provides us with whatever we choose to focus on. The Law of Attraction is gaining huge popularity these days, more than a decade later after the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne was published. Many people claim that due to them practicing the Law of Attraction, they have been able to achieve success in their life.

It is said that whatever events happen in our life is affected by our thoughts in some way. A great example to understand how it works is: thinking that you are young in your mind and it will actually make you young. A study was conducted for old people who were divided into two groups. One group would just remember their youth days and one group would start to re-live their youth days and pretend like they are actually young. It was seen that the second group who pretended and imagined that they are actually young showed improvements in their health like in eyesight, hearing and blood pressure. We can now understand how powerful our thoughts are. They have the power to change our present and the future.

The Law of Attraction can be used to attract money, improve relationships, improve health, be successful and to experience the reality of our thoughts. It is as complex as law of gravity; you can’t see it but you know that it is always there. Learning how to use it effectively will bring good changes in our life. Patience and persistence is required to practice it. It is said to be the most powerful law in the Universe. We never really stop creating thoughts and our thoughts shape our future. Wherever and whatever energy we put out, comes back to us.

It works on the principle of ‘like attracts like’. The Universe doesn’t know which energy is good and which is bad. If you create positivity, it will return more of positivity to you. And if you create negativity, it will return more of negativity to you. Whatever you think, are your messages to the Universe. If you want to attract happiness and joy, you will have to do deeds that create happiness and joy.

For practicing Law of Attraction, it is very important to understand your relationship with the Universe. Only then you can understand how it works and use it to create a better life for yourself. First think of what you want, then believe that it is possible to achieve it and then work on it.

Do you practice Law of Attraction? What do you think about it?
